The bookkeeping program will begin later this year. With the success of the program last time, demand should be high, and interested participants are encouraged to complete an application as soon as possible.

Congratulations to last year’s participants: Mary Akavak and Karen Nungak of Kimmirut, Laisa Watsko of Grise Fiord, and Lisa McGrath of Iqaluit. They completed the intense program, which ran from March 2007 to March 2008, and are now qualified bookkeepers who can serve their communities in both the private and public sector. Also congratulations to Nuna Michael and Missy Kinnear of Iqaluit, who received Algonquin College’s bookkeeping certificate.
